We have done a few important things this summer. We checked off a few of the “to-do” items that we wanted to accomplish while we are out here.
We finally made it to a Cleveland Indians baseball game. We made it to Cleveland and had lunch. Walked to the game and sat in the stadium for about 2 hours. We never witnessed a pitch. It was rained out. We are still considering this an accomplished goal.
The Richens came and visited in August. We went on a few trips while they were out here. We went to the one and only Cedar Point. It was a great trip, lots of fun rides. We spent 7 hours there and explored about 50% of the park. It definitely takes a few trips to see everything. We went on a tour of the Stroh Center and saw a few things in BG. We spent the weekend in Cincinnati and made it to Skyline Chili and a Reds game. (bot of which were on Paul’s bucket list) I am glad we moved close enough to Cincinnati for Paul to accomplish a “Reds” weekend.
Jk visited for the BG home opener. We made a few trips while he was here. He saw the entire BG experience including our first home game this year and JK’s first Major League baseball game. Katie even took him the Wood County Historical Museum to see the “world famous” fingers in a jar. (see picture)
We would like to thank Paul, Lisa, Ashley, Nathan and JK for planning their summer vacations to Ohio. It makes living 1,600 miles away a little easier. We are now looking forward to fall, Pam will be here in less than 2 weeks.
It has been a busy summer. We weren’t able to plan a visit home, so our next trip home is going to be Christmas. Hopefully we will have a blog post up before then. See you soon 🙂
